On 16.09.2020, the Programme Operator of the Programme "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups" organized a public consultation on the current issues related to improving the conditions for education and care for children from 3 to 6 years, through creation of the necessary infrastructure and application of innovative practices in the kindergartens of small municipalities from remote and/or poor areas.
In order to get a better idea of the different points of view on the above topic, the Programmе Operator has invited representatives of ministries, institutions, non-governmental organizations and leading researchers working in the field of early childhood development, preschool education and integration of children from vulnerable groups.
The discussion provided an opportunity for the participants to exchange up-to-date information on the various programmes that ensure financial support to similar projects from close thematic areas. This will help to clearly distinguish the similar activities of the operations financed by different programmes, which will help avoid the double funding of activities and beneficiaries. In addition, the discussion gave the Programпе Operator the opportunity to "synchronize its clock" with the public opinion and expectations regarding the projects in the field of education and integration of children from 3 to 6 years, which will be very useful for preparing clear and adequate Application guidelines for the future procedure supporting the kindergartens in the country.
The "round table" was held in compliance with the current anti-epidemic measures, incl. ensuring the necessary social distance between the participants.
