The Minister of Education and Science – Krasimir Valchev, presented the Mayor of Kostinbrod municipality –Trayko Mladenov, with the contract for financing the project ‘Recovery Centre for Children with Oncoheamathological Diseases’. The project will be implemented on the territory of the municipality, and the funds for it, totaling BGN 1,223,983 (EUR 625,822), are provided by the Programme "Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Enhanced Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups", co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism (EEA FM) 2014-2021.
After the ceremony for awarding the grant, the Programme Operator provided a comprehensive training of the project management team, detailing the main rules, procedures and deadlines for the project implementation. In her introductory words to the participants in the training, Ms. Tzvetana Guerdjikova - Head of the Programme Operator, underlined the great social impact of this project, as it ensures the functioning of the country's first recovery centre for children and youth with oncoheamathological diseases, as well as for their families, who are also going through difficult trials and stress. This fact significantly increases the requirements and responsibilities to the Project promoter.
