The Fourth Cooperation Committee Meeting of the Home Affairs Programme was held on 13 May 2019 in Sofia, Bulgaria. All member organisations participated in the meeting, namely National Police Directorate of Norway, Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, and the Council of Europe. Observers were represented by Financial Mechanism Office, National Focal Point and Ministry of Justice of Bulgaria.
Participants reviewed the main developments in the Home Affairs Programme for the last six months from the previous Cooperation Committee Meeting in November 2018. Detailed information was presented for all projects, with focus on any risks identified and timetable for expected dates of start and implementation of the envisaged activities of the pre-defined projects.
The Cooperation Committee also discussed the proposed activities under the fund for bilateral relations as well as possible application procedures for the fund allocated to the programme.
