Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a working visit to Norway in connection with the implementation of the project "Completion and equipment of the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria", sponsored by the Fund for Bilateral Relations within the framework of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism ( 2014 – 2021). The project initially started back in December 2021.

This was the first working visit to Oslo of the MFA team, which is working on the creation of a mobile application to help Bulgarians abroad. The application will provide real-time information on risks when traveling abroad and will help to quickly connect with the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The function will also enable submitting a signal for help and possible evacuation of Bulgarian citizens affected by disasters abroad.

During the visit, the Bulgarian delegation held talks with representatives of the "Consular Affairs" department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway. The two sides discussed good practices to optimize cooperation in crisis resolution. The Norwegian side provided expertise essential for building the application within the project.
