In February, the Ministry of Education and Science and the Municipality of Kostinbrod signed an additional agreement under the project BGLD-1.004-0001 "Rehabilitation Center for Children with Oncohematological Diseases".
The funds provided under "Local development, poverty reduction and enhanced inclusion of vulnerable groups" Programme, funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, are increased to 1,316,649 euros. The project implementation period is extended to 45 months, and the deadline for implementation of the planned activities is April 30th, 2024.
The additional agreement will ensure the effective functioning of the country's only Rehabilitation Center for Children with Oncohematological Diseases, ensuring the development and establishment of this type of innovative service in terms of content, both for the country and for Southeast Europe.The implementation of the project activities is in support of the user groups defined for the service, both in the process of social adaptation during and after treatment, and in the subsequent steps of resocialization and reintegration of children and their families.With the highest level of customer satisfaction so far, the Center has provided indispensable qualified support to a significant number of families, for some of them more than once.
