On April 24, 2023, the municipality of Brezovo held an opening event under the project "Development, Promotion and Valorization of the Economic Potential of Brezovo Municipality by developing, promoting and imposing a brand "Bio Brezovo"." The main goal of the project is the introduction and certification of the Bio Brezovo brand and the training of unemployed persons and employers from the territory of the municipality of Brezovo, who will be users of the services developed as a result of its implementation. The project partner - Agricultural University - Plovdiv, takes an active part, which with the experience of its auxiliary units and centers will carry out part of the activities foreseen in the project. The goal is to create new jobs and create sustainable employment for the affected and economically vulnerable population groups of the municipality of Brezovo, by creating a sustainable economic model for the development of organic agriculture, organic livestock and beekeeping, in the context of the regional bio-economy. The main objective will be achieved through the implementation of the following specific objectives:
- Development, popularization and valorization of the economic potential of the municipality of Brezovo by creating, promoting and enforcing the "BIO BREZOVO" brand;
- Increasing employment among the population within the strategic period;
- Permanent reduction of unemployment in the period 2021-2027;
- Improving the well-being of the population from vulnerable groups;
The project is worth BGN 362,765 and ends on April 30, 2024.
