On June 16, 2022, an opening press conference was held under the project "Providing comprehensive care in early childhood in the municipality of Stara Zagora" with beneficiary, the municipality of Stara Zagora. The value of the project is nearly one million leva, and the implementation period is 2 years.
The main goal of the project is to provide comprehensive educational, social and health care in early childhood in the municipality of Stara Zagora, through which the conditions for the implementation of social inclusion of vulnerable groups will be optimized. Through complex activities based on research of the needs of the target groups and analysis of the needs of the local communities, the well-being and social inclusion of children from 0 to 6 years of roma origin and their families will be achieved. As a result of a study conducted by the team of the Municipality of Stara Zagora, three socially isolated communities on the territory of the Municipality have been identified, located in the villages of Kaloyanovets, Han Asparuhovo and Bratya Kunchevi. The main goal will be achieved through the development and implementation of complex integrated measures and services in early childhood. The activities are aimed at creating preconditions for social inclusion and inclusion of vulnerable groups, personal development and acquisition of new knowledge and skills, psychological, educational, health and counseling support for children and parents from ethnic minorities inhabiting the territory of Stara Zagora Municipality.
