The first procedure under the "Local development, poverty reduction and enhanced inclusion of vulnerable groups" programme has been launched

The Program operator of the "Local development, poverty reduction and enhanced inclusion of vulnerable groups" programme is launching the procedure for the pre-defined project "Innovative Community Care Models in Favour of People with Chronic Diseases and Permanent Disabilities" with a budget equal to 3 333 333 euro.

The pre-defined applicant for the procedure is the Bulgarian Red Cross.

The main objective of the procedure is to improve the access of elderly people with chronic diseases from remote and rural areas to health care and social services by creating innovative models of medical and social support.

The project will be implemented in Northwestern Bulgaria and will finance the following types of activity:

  • creating of three new home care centers and mobile units in the districts of Vidin and Montana,
  • providing home care to elderly people with chronic diseases in Vratsa, Vidin and Montana,
  • creating a call-center for tele-assistance,
  • improving the qualification of the teams, providing home care.

The deadline for application is February 18, 2019 until 6 PM.

The Application Guidelines and the related documents (in Bulgarian and English) are published in UMIS 2020 at the following address:
