Announcement of a procedure for the pre-defined project “Health for all”

Today, May 31, 2021, the Programme operator of Programme "Local development, poverty reduction and enhanced inclusion of vulnerable groups", funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, announces a procedure for the pre-defined project “Health for all”

This project will address systemic problems in maternal and child health, including family planning, and sexually transmitted infections, especially syphilis and congenital syphilis.

In this sense, the main goal of the pre-defined project is to improve communication, efficient use of resources and coordination at the local level in the implementation of health policies for marginalized communities by optimizing the health mediation system, identifying and analyzing problems in the local system level; problems in communicating with local communities and finding flexible working models that meet the diverse specifics of marginalized communities.

The main approach of the project is on the one hand to improve the system of health services for vulnerable groups at the local level and the link between health policies at the local and national level, on the other - to work with vulnerable groups to build an active role in their own health through:

∙ Providing accessible services and raising awareness through community participation;

∙ Development and strengthening of the capacity of the local stakeholders - local government, RHI, doctors, hospitals, mediators, etc., as executors of the national policy in this field;

∙ Optimizing the use of health mediation, incl. and in hospitals;

∙ Development of a new approach to data collection, incl. use of information / digital technologies to connect the data collected by health mediators through direct work with the community.

The expected results of the project are:

- Established mechanism for reporting and feedback between health mediators, municipalities and the Ministry of Health - 1;

- Developed analysis of the main problems before the implementation of the national policy for health mediation – 1;

- 9,000 people who received health services - 4,000 women and children in the field of maternal and child health; 1000 women family planning package; 4,000 people tested for syphilis;

- Created groups for mutual assistance - 12;

- Health mediators working in hospitals and emergency medical care units - 12;

- Information campaigns aimed at representatives of the target groups - 24;

- Trained for better work and communication with the target groups municipal experts and representatives of RHI from the 6 target municipalities - 30;

The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Health in partnership with the National Network of Health Mediators.

The funding allocated to this procedure is up to EUR 1 109 718. The deadline for application is June 30, 2021. 18:00 h.
