The SJC announced the recruitment of a trainee at the European Court of Human Rights

The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has announced a selection procedure for candidates for an internship at the Judgments Enforcement Unit of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) of the Council of Europe.

It is foreseen to send one Bulgarian magistrate or judicial officer to the Strasbourg Court for a traineeship of 12 months from 15 January 2023.

The internship programme is implemented within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Professionalism in the Judiciary”, funded by the Justice Programme of the (NFM) 2014-2021.

The monthly amount approved for a traineeship in the Enforcement Unit of the Council of Europe will be EUR 5,300, which includes salary, living expenses (rent, daily expenses, etc.). These are charged to the project budget.

Candidates may submit applications and documents up to 13.10.2022 (inclusive), on paper at the office of the SJC at Sofia 1000, 12 Exarch Joseph Str., or by e-mail, signed with a qualified electronic signature. Applications shall be submitted in person or through an expressly authorised person, without notarised signature.
