In the cities of Pazardzhik and Plovdiv was held an Information Day on the Project "Specialized services for children from Roma communities in conflict or contact with the law".

The sociologist-analyst Tihomir Bezlov and experts of the project presented the results of a survey in the Roma communities there and an analysis of the potential and implementation of a consultation process in the regions of Pazardzhik, Plovdiv and Lom.

Tihomir Bezlov's analysis aroused great interest. The liveliest discussion was on school attendance. Representatives of various institutions commented on the deeper and systemic problems leading to children's absence from school. Among them are the motivation of educational institutions to keep their students at all costs because of delegated budgets, the lack of understanding and cooperation from parents, the lack of effective sanctions and other legal instruments to motivate students and families.

Different methods were used for the study: Cabinet research - study of available documentation in the three municipalities, reports, strategic documents, reports of institutions, existing social services and educational structures, concerning their potential and the need for such services; Questionnaires and maps, which were used to collect the necessary information; Interviews with representatives of institutions, Roma activists and potential users of the service; Field work through pre-organized visits to the three municipalities to collect information.

The forum was attended by representatives of the district prosecutor's offices, district courts, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Youth Protection, media and social services.

The project is funded by the Justice Programme of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and partners in its implementation are the IGA Crime Prevention Fund, Roma-Lom Foundation, Roma Regional Development Foundation, Plovdiv and Save a child - Norway.
