The preparation of the construction site for the construction of the first transition department in our country - the so-called half way house in the Stroitel open-type prison dormitory near the prison in Burgas, is progressing at a rapid pace.
The task before the builder is to renovate the dormitory and build the new department and administrative part in its yard.
The conceptual project in Burgas envisages that the transition department will include conditions and premises close to the family environment. The funds are from the "Ensuring a secure and safe physical environment in prisons and detention centres" project under the Area 19 Programme Correctional Services and Pre-trial Detention of the 2014-2021 Norwegian Financial Mechanism
Under the same project, transitional departments are set up in the Hebros and Samoranovo dormitories, respectively at the prisons in Plovdiv and Bobov dol.
