The second part of the training of trainers, which is implemented within the project activities “Development and implementation of a coaching programme at the workplace and training of mentors” and “Creation of digital training materials for staff” under the project “Enhancing the capacity of the prison staff, building a pilot prison facility connected to a training centre and improving the rehabilitation of prisoners” under the Justice Programme of the NFM 2014 – 2021, was held in the period 15 – 17 November 2022.
The training in Bankya was attended by prison officers in the country, holding managerial positions in the areas of supervision and security and social activities, staff from the Training Centre in Pleven and the head of the “Staff Training” sector in the GDIN.
On the part of the Norwegian counterparts, representatives of the University College of Norwegian Correctional Service (KRUS), Ona Prison and the Norwegian Correctional Service, which are partners in the project, took part.
The aim of the training is to implement a coaching programme in the workplace on important and topical issues related to the modernisation of the penitentiary system in the country, as well as to introduce the concept of dynamic security, including aspects of professional ethics, its application in solving everyday problems and decision-making in crisis situations.
