Third Cooperation Committee meeting of the Home Affairs Programme was held

On 28 November 2018, the Ministry of the Interior, in its capacity as Program Operator, hosted the third meeting of the Cooperation Committee for the Internal Affairs Program under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria (Programme Operator), the Norwegian National Police Directorate, the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration and the Council of Europe. Representatives of the Financial Mechanism Office, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, and the National Focal Point took part as observers.
The main topic for discussion of the Cooperation Committee meeting was the first draft of the Management and Control Systems of the Home Affairs Programme in Bulgaria, the pre-eligibility conditions set out in the Programme Agreement for some of the projects, the tentative deadlines for launching the projects, and proposals for joint activities targeted to strengthen the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Norway. An agreement has been reached on the measures to be taken to ensure the timely start of the projects under the Home Affairs Programme under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
