Fifth Cooperation Committee Meeting of the Home Affairs Programme

The Fifth Cooperation Committee Meeting of the Home Affairs Programme was held on 14-15 November 2019 in Bansko, Bulgaria. All member organisations participated in the meeting, namely National Police Directorate of Norway, Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, and the Council of Europe. Observers were represented by Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, Financial Mechanism Office, National Focal Point, and Ministry of Justice of Bulgaria. Representatives of State Agency “National Security”, Bulgarian Red Cross and International Organisation for Migration were invited in their capacity of promoters or partners in projects included in the Home Affairs Programme to present recent developments related to their projects.
Participants reviewed the progress achieved in the Home Affairs Programme in 2019. Detailed information was presented for all projects, with focus on the launched procedures for appraisal of the pre-defined projects and the requests for modification of the Programme Agreement proposed by project promoters.
The Cooperation Committee also discussed the proposed activities under the fund for bilateral relations and agreed on the procedures for applying for the fund allocated to the programme.
