The team of the Programme Operator of the Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation Programme answered questions about the Application Guidelines about Outcome 1 "Cultural heritage management enhanced", Output 1.1 "Cultural heritage presented in revitalized, restored and renovated spaces".

During the information day, which took place today, 16th June, the experts from the team of the Programme Operator provided clarifications about the Call and the goal was to support the process of preparation of project proposals in direct dialogue with the interested organizations.

In order to respect the anti-epidemic measures, the event was held in the format of a videoconference, with increased interest from potential applicants. Almost 100 Bulgarian cultural organizations and representatives of cultural institutes from all parts of the country took part in the event.

The Programme Operator presented the main objectives and conditions under the Call that was published in May, as well as the requirements for applicants and partners (see presentation here).

The goal of the procedure is to improve the conditions for preservation, management, presentation of cultural value items and access to cultural heritage. Through the supported projects, this call aims to stimulate the entrepreneurial approach in cultural institutes’ activity for improved management and presentation of cultural heritage and attracting audiences, incl. through revitalization of premises/spaces, educational programs, etc. More broadly, the call aims to strengthen the role that culture and cultural heritage play in local and regional development with a focus on employment, social inclusion and cultural entrepreneurship and the participation of social, ethnic and cultural minorities and groups in cultural projects and their access to culture. To achieve this, the call shall support job creation and capacity building under each project.

Eligible applicants are budgetary organizations whose principal activity is in the cultural or creative sectors, including municipalities and regional administrations. Eligible partners under this Call are all non-commercial public or private organizations, as well as non-profit organizations established as legal entities in Bulgaria or in the donor states under the Programme (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).
