A waiver of the requirement for 10% co-financing for applicants non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and an update of the target indicators to include online events, those are the broader opportunities provided by the latest changes in the Programme Agreement under the Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation Programme that took effect as of 12th February 2021 and will apply to the upcoming calls under the Programme. The waiver of the requirement for 10% co-financing for applicants non-governmental organizations means that if an NGO is Project Promoter under the Programme, the grant rate for it will be 100%. The goal is to boost the Programme’s impact in response to the global pandemic of Covid 19, which seriously affected the cultural sector.

In this regard, the indicative timetable of the Programme was updated. In the first half of 2021 the team of the Programme Operator will announce four calls for project proposals.

OUTCOME 1 “CULTURAL HERITAGE MANAGEMENT ENHANCED”, OUTPUT 1.2 “CULTURAL HERITAGE OBJECTS MADE DIGITALLY ACCESSIBLE” will be announced in March.

OUTCOME 1 “CULTURAL HERITAGE MANAGEMENT ENHANCED”, OUTPUT 1.1 “CULTURAL HERITAGE PRESENTED IN REVITALIZED, RESTORED AND RENOVATED SPACES” will be open for project proposals in April. Also in April will be launched the Second Call for project proposals under OUTCOME 2 “ACCESS TO ARTS AND CULTURE IMPROVED”.

OUTCOME 3 “AWARENESS OF ARTS AND CULTURE OF ETHNIC AND CULTURAL MINORITIES IMPROVED (ROMA FOCUS)” which is one of the most anticipated calls will be announced in May.

The total value of all calls under the Programme is EUR 10 million, and serious interest from potential beneficiaries is expected.
