Almost 200 Bulgarian cultural organizations and cultural representatives from all parts of the country participated in the information day dedicated to the First call under Outcome 1 “Cultural heritage management enhanced”, Output 1.2 “Cultural heritage objects made digitally accessible” organized by the Programme Operator of the “Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation” Programme.

In order to respect the anti-epidemic measures, the event was held in the format of a videoconference, with increased interest from potential applicants. The goal of the Programme Operator was to support the process of preparation of project proposals in direct dialogue with the interested organizations.

The Programme Operator presented the main objectives and conditions under the Call that was published in March, as well as the requirements for applicants and partners. The experts from the team of the Programme Operator provided clarifications about the Application Guidelines.

The call will focus on projects through which cultural operators can build capacity and acquire the necessary material and technical base for the creation of digital laboratories in order to conduct comprehensive programs for digitization of movable cultural heritage. The procedure will also support projects aimed at upgrading the capacity and expanding the activities of existing digital laboratories established under the BG08 "Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Arts" Programme funded by the EEA FM 2009-2014.

Eligible applicants are budgetary organizations whose principal activity is in the cultural or creative sectors, including municipalities and regional administrations. Eligible partners under this Call are all non-commercial public or private organizations, as well as non-profit organizations established as legal entities in Bulgaria or in the donor states under the Programme (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).

Projects worth a total of € 1,000,000 will be supported, with a maximum and minimum of € 350,000 and € 150,000 per project respectively.
