The kick-off meeting for the new financial period of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021 and the preparation of the Home Affairs Programme was held at the Ministry of Interior on 10 February 2017. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Financial Mechanism Office, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bucharest, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Ministry of Justice, National Police Directorate, Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, Council of Europe, National Focal Point, Ministry of Justice of Bulgaria, and Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria.
The main stages and deadlines of the programming process were discussed, including organization of stakeholder consultations, finalization of the Concept Note, setting up the legal framework, and establishment of Cooperation Committee.
The meeting marked the formal start of the process for elaboration of the Concept Note for the Home Affairs Programme supported by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021.
